The killings are the only stains in his administration, otherwise, the man has redefined governance at its best. Argue with your keyboard if you think otherwise. In 1983, he was maligned same as today but his exit always leave a cherished template of pleasurable governance. Watch out as the man’s deliberate and sustained investments in governance is going to manifest in few years to come. He is so focused on his goals that he refused to be distracted by the coordinated cries of mischief.

See Christmas without long queue at our fuel stations! See travellers thronging railway stations – something that was not near possibility few years back!!
See relatively power stability like never before!!!

A trip from Keffi through Akwanga down to Benue finds you greeted with workers working day and night to have that long-forgotten route back to life in dual carriage.

Have you ply the Lagos -Ibadan expressway to see the wonder there? The long queue that greets that road at such period like this has disappeared. What is the magic? Of course, deliberate investment in making Nigeria work!!!

Do you see the gestures displayed by the people of Borno yesterday? They trooped out in multitude to welcome the man who is providing governance through their governor. Any state that is succeeding is blessed to have a leader that thinks progress. Zulum is one. What about your governor? That is how to measure the popularity of a leader, from the street. The people of Borno understand what governance dividends are hence their overwhelming love for the president.

Those who are badly governed by their governors are the ones on-air shouting ‘Buhari has failed’, ‘Allah ya Isa’! Instead of calling out their emperor governors, they join midday and transitional activists who are influenced by vested interest to shout Buhari has failed! (Haruspice)

Buhari has done well given the realities we found ourselves before now, he has shown sincere commitment, he has demonstrated genuine efforts. Like every human, he hasn’t fully gotten it right in the area of security, that is one of the stains in his government. He can do better, we entrusted him with our mandate to secure our lives and property. Godly that he is, he should look up to God to help him solve this protracted security quagmire. A good man is never shamed, he wins at the end. May Buhari win.

Hopefully musing.
