A Plea for Peace and Security in Okun Land: A Call to Action

As the insecurity crisis deepens in Okun Land, it’s imperative that we collectively sound the alarm and seek urgent solutions. Despite government initiatives, the situation continues to deteriorate, threatening the very fabric of our communities.
I urge the government to intensify efforts to address this menace, deploying more resources and strategies to combat insecurity. It’s crucial that we:
- Enhance security presence in vulnerable areas
- Improve intelligence gathering and community policing
- Provide support to affected communities
Citizens must collaborate with security agencies and government officials to restore peace. Our monarchs and chiefs, as custodians of our land and tradition, play a vital role in land administration. I implore them to:
- Exercise vigilance in land matters, verifying identities and legitimacy of transactions
- Engage with local communities, fostering trust and cooperation
- Support initiatives promoting peace and security
To the youths, as leaders of today and tomorrow, I urge you to unite in promoting peace and stability. Your energy and creativity can drive positive change.
Let’s work together towards a safer, more prosperous Okun Land. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations.
