Accountant General commends Gov Bello’s accountability efforts »

Kogi State Auditor-General, Alhaji Yakubu Okala has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for providing unflinching support and the enabling environment for the office of the State Auditor – General.

According to him, such support was responsible for the emergence of the state as most accountable state in Nigeria according to the ratings by the world bank and other international partners in the 3 years

The Auditor – General stated this while declaring open a one day capacity building training for the staff of the Office , preparatory to the commencement of audit for the year 2020 fiscal year accross all the Public Offices of the State.

He called on the auditors to provide guidance to the respective public Offices during the audit assignment to enable them deliver on their mandate of providing public goods and services to the good people of the State

The one day capacity building focus on effective audit as a panecia for good governance and accountability in the public sector.
