Again, Hon. Osaseyi Grants Scholarship To Eight FUL First Class Students

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Osaseyi Foundation, Hon. Richard Osaseyi has given scholarships to another set of eight first class Students of Federal University, Lokoja (FUL).

Hon. Osaseyi, who is also the General Manager of Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KOSSAA), also redeemed his pledge to the university chapter of the National Association of Okun Students (NAOS), which he made during the celebration of their Cultural Day last week.

Addressing the beneficiaries in his office on Thursday, Hon. Osaseyi stated that the scholarship was in recognition of their dexterity, hard work and dedication to studies.

According to the philanthropist, the beneficiaries are students with 4.5 CGPA and above, describing the gesture as a reward for hard work.

He said the scheme will be extended to other universities in due course and urged Okun students to be focused on their academics.

Hon. Osaseyi further explained that he was invited for their programme last week and asked for names of students with 4.5 CGPA upward and about eight of them came up and so he decided to give them scholarships for the year 2023.

“The motivation is to continue to compensate our best students. We must show them that we appreciate their hard work and dedication to their education and to also give back to the society,” he said.

He advised the students to reciprocate the scholarship by excelling more in their academic pursuit and expressed his readiness to monitor their conduct.

In her remark, the Matron of FUL NAOS, Mrs. Agnes Ekundayo described the gesture as first of its kind and commended Hon. Osaseyi for his untiring effort in providing supports to students of Okun Origin.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Dare Toluwani expressed appreciation to the Hon. Richard Osaseyi, describing him as a philanthropist per excellence. He promised on behalf of the beneficiaries to repay the gesture with improved commitment to their studies and being worthy ambassadors of Okun land.
