The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Ali Bello, has paid a heartfelt birthday tribute to former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, CON, describing him as a father figure, mentor, protector and one of the greatest influences in his life.

In a message released to commemorate the former governor’s birthday, Ali Bello expressed profound gratitude for what he described as the immeasurable sacrifices Yahaya Bello had made toward his personal growth and development over the years.

According to him, although they are related by family ties, the former governor played a much deeper role in his life by providing guidance, support and encouragement during critical moments.

He noted that Yahaya Bello believed in him even before he believed in himself, standing by him during uncertain times and instilling in him the values of loyalty, discipline, humility and faith in Allah.

Ali Bello said the former governor invested his time, wisdom, energy and prayers in shaping his future, stressing that such invaluable contributions could never be repaid.

Reflecting on their relationship, he stated that every opportunity created for him, every correction offered and every lesson imparted was aimed at preparing him for the responsibilities of life.

He further praised Yahaya Bello for making numerous personal sacrifices to improve the lives of family members and others around him, describing him as a compassionate and generous leader committed to the well-being of those he loves.

“Today, I do not celebrate only your birthday; I celebrate the extraordinary man whose life has been a blessing to mine. I celebrate the uncle whose counsel has guided me, whose confidence has strengthened me, and whose love has given me the courage to face every challenge,” he said.

Ali Bello also offered prayers for Allah’s continued protection, good health and elevation for the former governor, asking God to reward every sacrifice he has made on behalf of his family and countless others.
