Amoka urges youths to pursue worthy ventures

Youths in the State have been advised to pursue worthy ventures that could position them for future responsibility.

Clerk of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Amoka Ibrahim gave the advice when the Members of Amedari Youth Association paid him a visit at the Assembly Complex Lokoja.

Alhaji Amoka told them that Governor Yahaya Bello was working hard to actualize government’s plan in engaging the teeming youths in viable trades for their economic well being.

He appealed to Members of the Association to exercise patience in their quest to be meaningfully engaged, assuring that soon he would create an empowerment program that would benefit some of its members.

He said contact had already been made with relevant authorities on the reticulation of the Greater Lokoja Water Works to Zango-Daji community and other social amenities for their well being.

While thanking them for the visit the Clerk enjoined them to refrain from all negative tendencies that are inimical to their pursuit of success in life.

Earlier, the President of the Amedari Youths Association, Mallam Ismaila Itopa expressed delight over the Clerk’s appointment and congratulated him on the elevation.

Mallam Itopa solicited the support of the Clerk in actualizing set objectives of the Association.

According to him, Members of the Association consist of graduates from Higher Institutions, artisans in search for job placement and appealed that his members be considered whenever there are available opportunities.

He called for Government presence in Zango-Daji in terms of basic socio-amenities like roads, medical centers, market and assured that they would continue to be of good conduct.
