An Open Letter of Gratitude and Solidarity to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Chief Servant of Kogi State, for Championing Competence and Women Inclusion in Leadership

Your Excellency Sir,
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Your Excellency, the Chief Servant of the good people of Kogi State, for your firm support toward youth engagement and advocacy for women inclusivity in leadership positions across boards. Your dedication to equitable and competence-driven leadership has created a system where substance and capacity for tangible progress take precedence.
As a proud beneficiary of your administration’s gender-friendly policies, I am reminded of the remarkable legacy of Governor Yahaya Bello, who, among numerous gender-friendly initiatives, pioneered the 35% affirmative action for women in key positions. Your continued support for womenfolk emboldened me to contest for the position of NYCN Coordinator, Idah Chapter, in which by the special grace of God and the trust reposed in me by Idah youths, I emerged victorious, as the sole candidate.
I assure you, Your Excellency, of my utmost dedication to upholding the ideals of responsible leadership, as Coordinator. The youth of Idah, who have given me their mandate, and indeed the entire Kogi State, will witness a Council that is dynamic, impactful, and truly representative. I pledge to follow in your footsteps, even from my small corner, by driving a Council that fosters inclusivity, purpose-driven initiatives, and adherence to democratic values.
Thank you once again for your visionary leadership and commitment to my generation’s progress.
Yours in Service and Solidarity,
Comr. Blessing Julius Ele-ojo
Coordinator- Elect,
NYCN, Idah Chapter.
