Ankpa Council Chairman Suspends Enjema District Head Over Security Breach, Appoints Acting Head
The Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, Hon. Ademu Mohammed Yahaya, has taken decisive action in response to a security breach by suspending the District Head of Enjema, His Royal Highness Usman Suraj.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the chairman, Idris Mohammed Omale and made available to journalists on Friday, stated that in a bid to ensure stability and maintain governance in the district, Hon. Ademu appointed Mallam Isah Salifu, the Senior Gago of Enjema District, as the acting District Head. Omale said the decision is in line the chairman’s commitment to addressing security challenges and promoting accountability in his administration.
“Hon. Ademu has been widely acknowledged for his proactive leadership in promoting peace, security, and development in Ankpa Local Government. He has consistently engaged traditional rulers, urging them to collaborate with security agencies by providing vital intelligence to combat crime.
“Additionally, the chairman has implemented numerous development programmes, including initiatives to improve healthcare services across the local government area.
“This recent move bottreses Hon. Ademu’s dedication to the welfare and safety of the people of Ankpa local government area while maintaining high level of discipline and accountability,” he stated.
