Ankpa locks down for APC as Prof. Ogbo launches campaign group for Ododo

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, and Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Usman Salisu Ogbo has launched his campaign support group for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the November 11, governorship election, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.

The support group, “Ododo/Joel’23 Door-To-Door Campaign Network is one of Ogbo’s numerous contributions towards ensuring victory for the APC candidate.

Jubilant supporters, government officials and party stakeholders took to the streets of Ankpa in a 5km walk from the residence of the Rector in Ankpa Ogebe, all the way to the local government secretariat for the official unveiling of the campaign network.

Prof. Ogbo in his speech said their support for the APC candidate is burne out of his strength of character and the developmental achievements of the governor Yahaya Bello led New Direction administration, particularly in Ankpa local government area and the state in general.

He said the New Direction administration has performed greatly in areas of security, infrastructure, transparency, youths and women inclusion along with fostering unity among the diverse ethnic groups in the state, stressing that such feat deserved to be consolidated. He said the APC candidate being a member of the current administration has learn the ropes and would hit the ground running in delivering dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

The Associate Professor said the inauguration of the Ododo/Joel’23 door-to-door campaign network is to ensure effective grassroots mobilization and sensitization as members are drown from all wards in Kogi East. He added same will be replicated in the two remaining senatorial districts.

Ogbo urged the people of Kogi East rise above all sentiments and will work for the emergence of Ododo Usman, assuring that the APC candidate would ensure overall development if elected.

The Chairman of Ankpa local government council, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu, said everyone is free to support whomever they wish but assured the party that majority of the people of Ankpa local government area are fully with the APC and they would demonstrate it by voting massively for the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Ododo Usman.

Former Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Alfa Rabiu, urged members of the party in the local government to ignore those spreading mundane sentiments, and come together to ensure massive victory for APC in the November 11 governorship election, adding that only the APC promises unity and development to the state.

Performing the unveiling and official flag-off of campaign in the local government, the Kogi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, commended Prof. Ogbo for his support for the party. He praised the people of Ankpa local government area, stating that the crowd witnessed at the rally is a confirmation that the local government is fully APC.

Bello said the APC in Kogi state has an effective reward system and assured that those who put in effort through mobilization and ultimately winning their units and wards for the party in the November 11 Governorship election will be rewarded accordingly.
