APC Kupa North leader in Lokoja lauds Gov Bello for Hon Dangana appointment into Kogi Hajj Commission
A leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kupa North Ward of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon Muhammed Dan’Asabe Yakubu has applauded Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for appointing one of their own, RT Hon Abdulrahman Dangana into the state Hajj Commission as Permanent Member I.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with our reporter in Lokoja this Wednesday, the APC stalwart thanked the Governor for finding the former speaker of the State Assembly worthy of the position.
He said the gesture was a mark of commitment by the Governor to ensuring people who have laboured for the ruling party got compensated for their efforts, noting that it would further entrench the love of the party in the minds of the faithful.
Hon Dan’Asabe maintained that the people of the area are committed to continuously supporting all policies and programmes of the current administration, adding that Governor Bello operates a government with the interest of the state at heart, especially interest of rural dwellers.
He therefore appealed to the Governor to look into the situation of the road linking Kupa Community to the city centre which he said has been neglected for long, and urged for his intervention.
“The major problem we have continued to face as a people is this problem of road. Our people are majorly farmers and need good road to be able to transport their harvests to the major towns for sell and make profit. But that is not happening and in the process government is even losing the revenue it is supposed to be generating from that area.
“It is our prayer that Kogi State becomes greater under the present administration coupled with the commitment that has been shown by Alhaji Yahaya Bello. We are hopeful that our plight as a people and as a community would be addressed to justify the trust and faith of APC supporters in us.”
He used the occasion to also express gratitude to the immediate past member of the National Assembly for Lokoja / Kogi (Kotonkarfe) federal constituency, Hon Haruna Isah for his support to the people’s cause and assured him of their loyalty at all times.
