APC suspends Ankpa LG chairman over anti-party activities »

The State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi state have approved the immediate removal of Hon. Abdullahi Zakeri as the party chairman in Ankpa Local Government Area after following up on a letter of recommendation for his suspension over anti- party activities.

In a press release signed on Tuesday by the state party chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello the party has also approved the appointment of Mohammed Salifu Jibrin as the Acting Chairman of the APC in the concerned Local Government.

The party chairman clarified that the party following the receipt of the recommendation to suspend the party’s Ankpa chairman, the State Working Committee of the party looked into the issues and found the Chairman guilty as charged.

It was after this conclusive investigation that the State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress upheld and affirmed the suspension of the Ankpa Local Government Chairman of the APC with immediate effect, the chairman pointed out.
