It’s an indisputable fact that a time to make decision is always a tough one. People seem to be at cross roads. One thing that is certain at such period is that a decision must be taken frontally. We must either move, stagnated or rigmarole in the same position.

Usually, every wise man or woman will go for a more profitable option that will bail him or her out of the trap. Proverbially, it seems the Igalas are trapped, presently. The option to get out now may not necessarily be what we desire but we must take a decision that will bail us out of the present situation.

In our quest to get power back to the Igala land, we must make proper decisions that will help us to succeed at the general polls in November 2023. We need to open our minds, putting aside all sentiments, dynamics and narratives unfavourable to this agenda. We must forgive and overlook whatever could cause us negative result. This is the only way we can achieve success in the forthcoming governorship polls.

Our preferred candidate may not be exactly what we desire as a people for individual reasons, but we must adopt a candidate that possesses, if not all, but certain notable administrative and personal qualities of a good leader. A leader must, among other things, be one who is intelligent, confident, loyal, courageous and has the ability to identify capabilities. He must have certain acceptable and traceable antecedents. Above all, any candidate that must be chosen should be well known, having unlimited widespread structure across the state; not just in Igala land.

Having read and listened to opinion molders, interviews and press releases from the other parts of Kogi state, some people are demanding for power rotation while others press for the retaining of power. There is a need for us to speak out the truth among ourselves. Our failure not to speak the truth to ourselves at this material time may be tantamount to committing another political blunder for the next eight years. This, to me is prejudicial and suicidal.

It is my abundant submission that all Igala aspirants are competent and capable for the job but having considered the present situation and election modalities in the last presidential election in the country.

However, the most qualified person for the job now is Chief Edward Davide Onoja CEDO for he is the only one that can beat all the factors to be considered to bring back power to Igala land and win at the Governorship polls come November 2023 seamlessly. In my subsequent bulletin, I will look at the factors one after the other. Thank you.
