Boat Accident: Kogi Gov. Condoles with Victim’s family, Kwara govt.
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has sent condolences to families of victims of Tuesday’s Boat Accident in Egbu village, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State which reportedly claimed over 100 lives.
The Governor’s condolences was contained in a personally signed message sent to InsideStory. on Friday.
The message reads “On behalf of the Government and People of Kogi State, I sympathise with the Government and People of Kwara State as well as the immediate families of the victims of the tragic boat accident that occurred at Egbu village, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State on Tuesday”.
Governor Bello mentioned that the incident to say the least was unfortunate while assuring that his government’s thoughts and prayers is with the affected families, the community, and the entire state.
Governor Bello commended the prompt response and rescue efforts of the Kwara State Government, which have helped to minimise the number of casualties.
Governor Bello assured his counterpart Governor of Kwara state, Mr. Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kogi’s unwavering support during this challenging period.
He prayed that the departed souls rest in peace, and the affected families find solace and comfort during this difficult time.
