Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja, on Saturday, attended the funeral of his maternal aunt, the Late Oja Iyawo Otuwa at her country-home of Emonyoku Ogugu in Olamaboro LGA of the State.

He was joined at the burial Ceremony by his Wife, Mrs. Ejura Onoja, Olamaboro LG Chairman, Hon. Friday Adejoh, and State Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Sunday Faleke. Others were some APC stalwarts across Kogi East, traditional and religious leaders, as well as Chief Onoja’s aides, friends, and other sympathizers.

In his tributes, Chief Onoja said Mama lived a celebratory life having played an exemplary role as the family’s gatekeeper, saying her loving memories would be forever cherished.

He extolled Oja as a kind, industrious, humble, humane, and generous woman who, during her lifetime, went overboard to share her widow’s mite with friends, family, and acquaintances alike.

He finally prayed God to grant Mama eternal rest, while granting himself, and other members of the Otuwe Family the fortitude to bear her loss. Until her death on 31st January, 2022, Late Oja Otuwe was aged, 90 years.

Meanwhile, Christian worshipers at the Dunamis Int’l Gospel Center have rained prayers on Chief Onoja, asking God to continually engrace him to excel in his personal and career pursuits. The Church made the prayers during its “Divine Visitation Crusade and Church Planting” in Ogugu, Olamaboro LGA of Kogi State, attended by the Deputy Governor.
