Chief Onoja greets Ata Igala on first coronation anniversary

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State and Olimene Ata Igala, Chief (Dr) Edward Onoja (CIK) warmly felicitates with the Ata Igala and Chairman, Kogi State Traditional Council, HRM, Dr Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa on the first anniversary of his coronation.

Chief Onoja describes the paramount ruler as a bridge-builder, a man of peace and profound integrity whose reign so far was already recording positive turnarounds in Igala Kingdom and Kogi State in general.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, he commends the paramount ruler for his support for the progressive ideologies of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, especially in the awakening of consciousness for civic responsibility, and for rallying his subjects in that direction.

The Deputy Governor salutes the roles of the monarch in maintaining peace and security in his domain while uniting his people towards the agenda for growth since ascending the exalted throne within the period.

“On behalf of my Family, I join the proud sons and daughters of IgalaLand, and all the people of goodwill to congratulate His Royal Majesty on the milestone of his first coronation anniversary.

”Your Royal Majesty, as the 28th Ata Igala and Chairman of the Kogi State Traditional Council, you have, in the last year, led the Igala Kingdom with the fear of God, justice, honesty, and integrity for which we owe you a debt of gratitude.

”We profoundly appreciate your dexterity in keeping and managing the cultures and traditions of the Igala people by promoting harmony, socio-cultural cooperation, communal living, and peaceful co-existence among your people and other ethnic groups in our dear State.

”You have also been a pillar of support for the New Direction Government’s efforts to not only spread dividends of democracy in IgalaLand but to also mobilize the people behind our proactive measures to foster enduring development legacies,“ he said.

Chief Onoja prays God grants the paramount ruler increased wisdom, long life, and good health on the throne of his forebears, urging him to continue being the Priest and King who works with other patriots to strengthen the unity of the State and the country.
