Chief Onoja Treats Civil Servants, Aides, Other Members of Staff to Dinner
In line with the Spirit of unity, bonding, and oneness of the New Direction Government led by Governor Yahaya Bello, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja, on Wednesday evening, hosted civil servants in his Office for a dinner at his residence.
The dinner, attended by aides to the Deputy Governor and other ad-hoc staff working at the Office and residence of the Deputy Governor was held in the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
Welcoming his guests, Chief Onoja said the bonding session was a reflection of Governor Bello’s rooted desires to make Kogi State a national model for good governance, security of lives and property, unity, and rapid development through incorporation of all, irrespective of tribal, class, or religious affiliations.
He called for increased teamwork, efficiency, and brainstorming to further actualize the vision of Governor Bello to reposition the State, saying the Governor has achieved milestones in entrenching transparency and accountability in the State civil service.
He assured that Governor Bello remains committed to the welfare of the civil servants to enable them give their best, urging them to continually work in synergy to achieve optimal results.
The civil servants and aides who spoke in varied thoughts, appreciated Chief Onoja for the gesture, saying it would spur them to contribute their quota in their respective job descriptions. They described Governor Bello as worker-friendly, noting that his Administration has not compromised the welfare and security of citizens, with lofty gains in infrastructural development.
In attendance was the State Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Sunday Faleke; SSA to Deputy Governor on Political Affairs, Hon. Felix Omachoko, amongst other aides. Also at the dinner was the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Zainab Obadaki, and other senior staff.
