Chieftaincy Title: Hon. Sandra Mimi celebrates Pharmacist Asuku, Alhaji Jibrin
The Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs to the Governor of Kogi state, Office of the First Lady, Hon. Mimi Sandra has described the duo of Pharmacist Abdulkareem Mohammad Jamiu Asuku the Chief of Staff to the governor, and Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, the Accountant General of the state, as two illustrious sons of Kogi who have distinguished themselves in loyalty and service to the state.
Hon. Mimi gave this commendation in a congratulatory message personally signed by her on the conferment of traditional title of Ogochi Ata Igala on the Chief of Staff, and Amene Ata-Igala on the Accountant General by the paramount ruler of Igala Kingdom and President, Kogi State council of traditional rulers, HRM, Dr. Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, the Ata of Igala.
She appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for identifying best hands in Pharmacist Asuku and honorable Jibrin who have proven to be hardworking, loyal and loved across board.
The statement reads: “With profound gratitude to GOD, we are very delighted to celebrate the conferment of traditional titles on two illustrious sons of Ebira land and Kogi State as a whole, Chief Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku, The Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the OGOCHI ATA IGALA 1 OF IGALA KINGDOM “UDABA” and The Accountant General of Kogi State, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh as the AMENE ATA IGALA 1 OF IGALA KINGDOM “WALI”.
We rejoice with His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the entire sons and daughters of Kogi State both home and in Diaspora. The mammoth crowd that witnessed today’s event despite the trying times speaks volume to the importance of this coronation and your due diligent work. You both are indeed “men of the people”.
The Igala Kingdom has an ancient well respected tradition and the throne of The Ata Igala has a long historical attributes of Justice, enterprise and integrity. The Chief of Staff as a young person has indeed washed his hands very well and that is why today we can see him eating with the elders. The Accountant General as he is fondly called ‘AG’ has proven to the entire Kogites that he is an elder. you both are true personalities to be reckoned with in all phases of life, “much respect Sirs”!. And so we rejoice today as a new Ogochi Ata-Igala and Amene Ata-Igala is bestowed on you both.
Toady’s conferment marks victory for Kogites and I have always taken a stand for the integrity of our traditional system and I am so delighted as a feather is being added to your caps.
In all modesty, i want to use this medium to thank and appreciate His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello who truly has proven to the world to be a bastion of freedom, hope and egalitarian in all facet. Your fountain of wisdom brought the emergence of the Chief of Staff and The Accountant General who have both today shown His Excellency’s choice and selection is a perfect one as they continue to make him proud. His Excellency has indeed remain a blessing to the people of Kogi State and is doing so much in Infrastructural Development, Health, Agriculture, Roads, Education, Industries, Socio-economically, also in unity and an unbias Governance, peace and security and still doing more across the state. As the bible says, “when the righteous are in Authority the people rejoice”. You are truly God sent.
The new Ogochi Ata-Igala and the Amene Ata-Igala of the Igala Kingdom has truly distinguished themselves as excellent personalities both in their various fields of professionalism, politics and traditional system. Without doubt, they have contributed and will continue to contribute to the developments of Kogi State through His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello. Lives have been touched personally and positively by them across the entire length and breadth of Kogi State. I must confess we all share something in common, we are truly GYB’s advocates. You both are indeed men of many parts. We are all proud of your unblemished achievements. Both hospitable and advocates of EBIGO, its indeed a historic event of monumental importance to have you honoured. Your pedigree commitment to our people and avowed trust in the power and Grace of God gives us great hope and confidence that you will exceed all expectations.
I hope and pray that the unity and cooperation we enjoy now continues. Let us pray to God Almighty that HE will continue to prosper, bless and keep us under HIS care.
