Christmas 2022: pharm. Asuku felicitates with Christians

The Kogi State Chief of Staff Pharm. Abdulkareem Moh’d Jamiu Asuku has felicitated with Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria, especially those in Kogi State on this joyous occasion of this year’s Christmas, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a Press Statement signed by him he said “Christmas season represents joy, peace, hope, love, goodwill. These are worthy values which the birth of Jesus symbolise and we must imbibe them for the benefits of all humanity”.

The COS therefore enjoined all faithfuls to appropriate the hope that comes with Christmas and reinvest trust in the future of our nation by promoting peace and unity even as exemplified by the life and teachings of Christ.

“Let us use this season of goodwill and joy to renew our faith in the oneness of this nation by shunning ethnic divide, disunity, religious extremism which further divides us than unite us” he added.

He also used the occasion to call on Nigerians to embrace peace and shun violence.

Pharm Asuku expressed that In Kogi, despite differences in tribe, political and religious affiliations, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahay Adoza Bello has tamed the excesses that comes with diversity, by ensuring everyones’ right is protected according to the law.

While wishing all Kogites a happy festive season and God’s protection, he urged them to remain vigilant as we would be witnessing increased travels amidst celebrations stressing that staying alive to enjoy future festivals should be prioritized by all.
