Christmas: Onoja’s wife preaches love, tolerance
The Wife of Kogi State Deputy Governor, Mrs Ejura Mercy Onoja has on Wednesday urged Christians to emulate the virtues of love, peace and tolerance, which were the attributes of Jesus Christ in the spirit of Christmas.
Mrs Onoja who gave this charge in her Christmas message to mark the celebration, enjoined Kogites to continue to live in harmony with each other and seek the face of the Lord as government strives to deliver on its promises.
The Wife of the Deputy, while wishing the people of the state a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year ahead, equally urged them not to relent in their prayers and support to the New Direction administration under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello.
“As we commemorate the birth of the Prince of Peace, our saviour, let us all strive to honour Him more by living our lives as He taught; making personal sacrifices for the good of others, showing greater love for others, being fairer and more honest in our dealings with others, ever-willing to forgive those who offend us and always extend goodwill towards others,” she said.
“I wish you all a very joyful Christmas celebrations, and a peaceful and prosperous 2020,” she concluded.
