Computer Training: PAAYEF graduates second set of 150 students

The second batch of 150 young men and women who received Computer training sponsored by the Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Youth Empowerment Foundation (PAAYEF), has graduated from their training On Saturday with a ceremony held in Afims hotel, Okene.

PAAYEF which secured an all expenses paid scholarship in collaboration with God’s Own Computer Institute said its aims is to produce computer literates and entrepreneurs who are expected to multiply the knowledge gained and to also make themselves employers of labor.

Focal Person of PAAYEF, Hon. Sandra Mimi, said Governor Yahaya Bello has provided them with a platform upon which they are reaching out to others through the foundation.

She said the graduation ceremony is the second in its series of computer trainings, adding that Pharmacist Asuku is committed to human capital development and is using PAAYEF to give back to the society and give joy to the people.

She called on public office holders to borrow a leaf from Pharmacist Asuku in executing programs that will have direct impact on the lives of the less privileged.

On his part, Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku who was represented by the Commissioner, Ministry of Water Resources, Hon. Abdulmumin Danga, emphasized the importance of computer literacy, and urged the graduands to make proper use of the knowledge acquired.

He said Pharmacist Asuku is a humanist who believes so much in giving back to the society, stressing the Chief of Staff is more than ever committed to doing more for the people.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of certificates to the graduands and award to Pharm. Asuku for his efforts towards supporting quality education and humanity.
