Frontline Chairmanship aspirant in next weekend’s Kogi State National Youth Council of Nigeria Congress, Comrade Ismail Abdullahi Abdulkadir has promised to evolve impressive programmes that would engage the state’s youths gainfully.

He made the promise on Friday in Lokoja shortly after picking up his forms to contest for the position.

He said the election this year would be between a progressive and youth focused agenda against those of personal interest and the agenda of those without demonstrable capacity to bring desired change to the youths of the state and appealed to delegates to look into the antecedents of contestants before casting their ballots.

According to the candidate who is also the outgoing Organising Secretary of the body, his aspirantion is a desire he had nursed for a while, saying his main agenda is to his team a social contract with all the youths to birth a developed state and Nigeria as a whole.

To him, his campaign is premised on a five points agenda which includes; positioning the council for effective and sufficient actualization of goals of its establishment, orientation/reorientation programmes for the youths, youth Empowerment and job creation, image management and sense of belonging.

While calling on Kogi youths especially those staying outside the state to desist from negative coloration and Social Media bashing of Kogi, he said they had no where else they could call a state other than it.

He stressed the need for them to reciprocate the good gesture of the Governor by backing him, noting that if elected, he would ensure enough dissemination of information concerning what the government has been doing for the state since inception.

Earlier in his brief, the head of his campaign Organisation, Comrade Ibrahim Isiaka urged the delegates to queue behind Comrade Smile, who he said has shown capacity to what he would bring to the table, saying his emergence would boost the morale of Kogi youths and increase the support for GYB2PYB Project.
