He, said:”We thank God that Radio Kogi is back on air after two years of inactivity.

“The transmitter has been installed and the engineers commenced test transmission on Monday.

“We are hoping to start full transmission today being Tuesday.”

InsideStory News recalls that the radio, created immediately Kogi State was created on August 27,1991, went off the air about two years ago as a result of the break down in its transmitter.

Some members of the public who spoke with our correspondent at Gadumo, a suburb of Lokoja, on the issue, expressed delight that the radio is back to the media space.

Mal. Halidu Abubakar said with the return of the radio station on air, the people of the state would begin to be abreast of social, economic and political happenings in and outside the state, henceforth.

He, however, urged the management of the radio station to guard against the problem that led to the break down of the former transmitter.
