Following the commencement of campaign period as stipulated by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for political parties to start canvassing for electorates support in preparation for February 2023 general elections, the Yagba West Youth Consultative Forum has advised candidates of other political parties to down tools and galvanize support for the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), the person of Yemisi Oshaloto, who won her primary election with a landslide to clinch the APC’s party ticket to represent the Local Government Area at Kogi State House of Assembly.

The youth coordinating body of the Local Government wishes to make it categorically clear that the interest of Yagba West youth and deciding stakeholders, lies in the candidacy of Yemisi Oshaloto; as she as proven herself worthy to be trusted with such a sensitive role of leadership. And considerably, the Union is therefore admonishing candidates of other political parties to team up with the people’s anointed candidate, in other to avoid wastage of resources on ‘political jobers’ looking for opportunities to extort candidates.

This is also to state emphatically that Yagba west youths have decided to adopt the manifesto of Yemisi Oshaloto; as it is in line with the developmental mantra and aspirations of the region.

We are therefore once again reaffirming our support and willingness to work harmoniously with the campaign organization of Yemisi Oshaloto in other to achieve all set objectives of the organization; as we all envisions a transformed and renewed era of quality representation. Truly, it is a season of all round rest (Idéra).

Lastly, we extend our prayers to Yemisi Oshaloto and her campaign team as they go about preaching the desired gospel of change; as we approach the general elections.
