CoS to Governor Bello, Onoja, lauds Kogi Gov’s leadership acumen

The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Chief Edward Onoja has affirmed that Governor Yahaya Bello was the new political leader of the State in the current generation.

He said even though late Prince Abubakar Audu held firm to the political leadership of the state due to his political weight until his painful death, Bello has demonstrated capacity to succeed the first Governor of Kogi State.

Chief Edward Onoja made this known on Wednesday at the Banquet hall of the Government House in Lokoja, during the inauguration of Kogi State House of Assembly Commission by Governor Yahaya Bello.

He said past leaders that had ruled the State fell short of worthiness of the leadership of Kogi State because they held the people to ransom by starving them of needed social and infrastructural development for their personal gains.

The Chief of Staff stated that the inauguration of the Kogi State House of Assembly Commission was another historic moment as the bill for its establishment had passed through different administrations without any fruitful headway.

He said the administration of Governor Bello had not just signed it into law, but was also inaugurating the board that would steer the affairs of the Commission which he noted would ensure proper practice of the principles of separation of powers among the three arms of government in Kogi State.

The Chief of Staff used the medium to opine that just as Nigeria had moved to the next level through the re election of President Muhammadu Buhari, Kogi State would in November follow the same direction as Governor Bello would be re-elected to office for his second term.
