Council Polls: Hon. Amodu launches ward to ward campaign in Ofu LGA

…Promises to look into requests of communities

The former Senior Special Assistant on security to Governor Yahaya Bello and the Ofu LGA APC candidate in the forthcoming December 12th local government election in Kogi State, Hon. Destiny Amodu, has launched his ward to ward campaign today, stating from Onicha Igo ward.

The Campaign DG for the election, Hon. Abu Sule Egbiti while speaking appreciated all the stake holders present at the event, he urged voters in the ward to thumb print for the All Progressives Congress for a resounding victory. He pleaded with electorate in the area to come out en mass to vote early before 10am for early push of result to Kogi SIEC.

The commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Idachaba appreciated the people of Igo ward for their continuous support for APC in the area and he urged them to repeat their love shown to the party in the area during the Governoship election. The Igo ward chairman congratulated Hon. Amodu Ibrahim in advance, promising that he can count on the people of the area in securing victory at the end.

While speaking, Honourable Amodu Ibrahim first appreciated Gov. Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja. In the same vein, applauded Hon. Barry, Hon. Gambo, Hon. Egbiti. He promised to rewrite the story of the area, in infrastructures, health, agriculture, youth and women empowerment on assumption of office.

Hon. Amodu also visited the district head of Igo Ofu LGA, HRH. Paul U. John for his Royal Blessings. The traditional chief blessed Hon. Amodu and prayed that the APC candidate will be victorious.

In addition, the campaign train was taken to Ogbonicha in an attempt to brief the people of the area of his developmental plans for the Local Government if given the chance to rule as the Executive Chairman. While speaking, the ward Chairman of the axis, Hon. F. S Adejoh prayed that the Candidate will be victorious at the polls.

Honourable Amodu visited the palace of Chief Joel Isah Omucha, the Oga Attah of Gbagebe to extend regards. While speaking, the traditional chief expressed his joy for the fact that the APC decided to pay a homage . He prayed that they will be victorious in the coming election, noting that it’s the first time an aspirant for Ofu chairmanship seat will visit his palace for Royal blessings.

Furthermore, he pleaded that the APC will become conscious of his terrain, noting that the entire village is disconnected from the national grid of electricity provision. He also noted that they lack a Medical Doctor for their hospital.

While speaking, Hon Barry appreciated the leaders of APC in the LG, in the person of Hon. Nasiru and other stake holders present at the palace. He expressed his joy for the blessings the Royal Father has uttered for the party. Hon. Amodu prayed that the traditional father will live long and he promised that every request from the community will be attended to within his abilities.
