Covid-19: Oshaloto affirms pandemic has no place in state, lauds Gov. Bello's youth engagement in leadership »

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on security matters in Yagba West Local Government Area, Mr. Tade Oshaloto have expressed confidence that the ongoing global pandemic Covid-19 does not have a place in the State.

He mentioned that such boast was premised on the fact that the State Government had taken precautionary proactive measures to contain the spread of the virus into the state.

The Governor’s security aide similarly lauded Governor Bello’s strategic involvement of youth in governance in the State, noting that such reposed confidence has clearly shown that the Governor believed in the capacity of the youth to contribute to nation building.

The Governor’s security aide noted that in Yagba West the given directive by the state committee on the containment of the pandemic were being followed strictly.

Mr. Oshaloto revealed that all social, market and religious activities have been suspended in compliance with the directives from the State Government and the Local Government had engaged in diverse sensitization programs to bring the people up to speed as regards the global pandemic and the necessary measures.

He pointed out that in the few period in the office, he has rallied security agencies, traditional rulers and other stakeholder in a bid to secure the Local Government Area.

The Security Adviser for Yagba West LGA also highlighted that one major success he has recorded within his early days in office was the restoration of electricity to the Local Government and its annex offices.

He mentioned that much would not be achieved if there was not electricity noting that he was more poised to doing more for the people of the Local Government Area as the days progresses.

The Security Assistant to the Governor advised the people of the State to continue to be law abiding as they also support the government in its efforts to contain the virus spread by continuing to stay indoors within the period stipulated.

He also charged the people of Yagba West Local Government Area to be security conscious and to alert the respective security agencies saddled with such responsibility whenever they see anything suspicious within their locality.
