Crowd as Yahaya Bello Declares for 2023 Presidency

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello , has declared his intention to run for president in 2023 on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Bello made the declaration today to a large crowd of APC stalwarts and supporters including the Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Wase, former and serving national and state legislators, and several others at the Eagle square in Abuja.

Former Senator Jonathan Zwingina while speaking at the event described Bello as a detribalized Nigerian, who ruled his state with appointees from other states.

He said, “governor uprooted insecurity from Kogi, the state would have been a breeding ground for kidnapping and banditry, but his leadership skills.”

Daughter of late MKO Abiola, Hafsat Abiola-Costello in her address said Governor Yahaya Bello is a good ambassador for a new Nigeria. She said the governor has shown unparalleled commitment towards youths and women inclusiveness in governance and has given voice to the hitherto margilazed section of the country.

Kustello who is the director general of the Yahaya Bello presidential campaign organisation said, she was proud to be part of the movement, adding that they’ll take the Yahaya Bello message of ‘Hope’ to the nooks and crannies of the country.

The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja said Yahaya Bello is the right person to take over the baton of leadership of the country from president Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 owing to his track records in security, infrastructure, inclusiveness and his contribution to the growth and success of the APC.

Onoja eexpressed confidence that a Yahaya Bello Yahaya Bello presidency will bridge the demographic and regional gaps in the body polity of the Nigeria.
