CSDA expresses Gov Bello’s commitment to Kogi’s development

Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) has expressed the readiness of Governor Yahaya Bello to ensure equitable, adequate and qualitative development of the entire state under his watch.

The General Manager of the Agency, Mallam Dauda Momoh made the assertion on Wednesday during the commissioning of some projects in Ijumu Local Government Area of the State.

Mallam Momoh who applauded Governor for his show of genuine love for rural areas in the state, noted that it was the passion that has continued to serve as driver for his organization to continue to search for communities with acute developmental challenges in order to assist them.

Though World Bank Assisted, the GM said the state government has given them unalloyed support which propelled them to do more for communities in the hinterlands to cushion the socioeconomic and infrastructural deficit.

He used the occasion to applaud the Ijumu Local Government Chairman, Hon Taufiq Isa for his show of love for his people, which he said, contributed to attracting the projects to the area.

He stressed the need for benefitting communities to take adequate care for the projects in order to encourage more dividends from the agency and similar bodies.

The GM further expressed gratitude to the Community Project handlers for the wonderful work they have done, and thanked staff of the agency for their unparalleled commitment to work and support he enjoyed which has translated to the successes he has recorded so far.

He expressed his commitment towards ensuring all parts of the state benefittes from his agency as that is the essence of its existence, noting that the state CSDA was ready to work across the state as much as resources would allow.

Speaking, the chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, praised Governor Bello for showing that he is a compassionate leader who has the interest of the common people at heart, especially those at the rural areas.

He said many parts of his Local Government had been marginalized and abandoned by previous administrations, but that Governor Bello had changed the narrative by ensuring he rights the wrongs of the past.

The Chairman said the Governor had done that by making the children of ‘nobodies’ become people in important positions to be able to form policies and execute projects for the good of the state.

He said the call on the Governor to contest for the nation’s presidency was one beyond even the Governor himself as it would serve as impetus towards encouraging other youths who have genuine intention of serving the nation and make it better.

Hon Taufiq then thanked the CSDA for locating 16 projects in his domain, and praised the GM, who he said is a good man dedicated to his duty. He said Mallam Dauda Momoh is a sincere and transparent individual who is using the resources at his disposal judiciously for the improvement of the infrastructural needs of communities across Kogi State.

Members of the benefitting communities on their path, applauded the agency for finding them worthy of the projects, saying they were in tandem with their needs, and prayed for continued success of the GM and his members of staff.

Highlights of the commissioning was music, dance and general entertainment by the communities, whose excitement knew no bounds.
