Dear Mr. President – By Haruspice

Your greatest achievement thus far is infrastructure, even the blind can see how you have revolutionized that sector of governance. Posterity awaits you in pleasurable reference -but let me sincerely advise you as one of your sincere and unapologetic supporters, DO NOT REMOVE PMS SUBSIDY NOW!

You can’t do everything as president, let others do what you couldn’t do, It’s allowed in life. The time and season we find ourselves in today aren’t ripe for this proposal by people who think the poor are not humans. The proposed N5000 as palliative cannot address the hardship faced by the poor who massively voted for you. The time had been very hard occasioned by Covid 19 and insecurity. Families are facing hardship as cost of living has dangerously gone up. Let’s not add to this sir.

Those proposing the total removal of petroleum subsidy didn’t enter the rain and the sun to canvass votes for you, the poor who will bear the pang, did. Therefore, don’t allow these agents of western interests push you into impoverishing the masses. This proposal is satanic, harsh and ill-timed!

Listen to the Chinese whose advice has fetched the giant gains in our rail infrastructure. Without giving you any condition, they helped to resuscitate our rail sector, improved our health system and helped to rebuild our roads. This country should be our ally and not those who stifle us with their policies that had always failed. Remember these same western powers forced you to devalue the naira and the result is the total mess our naira is today.

Mr President let whoever come after you heed the advice of IMF, eget why!

Frankly musing.
