Dekina Caretaker Chairman, Urah conducts unscheduled inspection of ongoing Ojikpalada, Alade-Agbeji road project

In a bid to ensure the timely completion and quality of infrastructure projects, the Caretaker Chairman of Dekina Local Government Area, Hon. John Urah Ikani, undertook an unscheduled inspection visit to the ongoing Ojikpalada, Alade-Agbeji road grading project.

Accompanied by some government officials, Hon. Urah arrived at the construction site earlier today, surprising the workers. The Ojikpalada, Alade-Agbeji road project, a vital artery connecting several communities within the local government, has been a focal point for the Chairman’s infrastructure development efforts.

During the inspection, Hon. Urah assessed the progress of the work done, scrutinizing the adherence to project specifications. He engaged with workers, urging them to expedite work without compromising on standards.

Addressing newsmen at the site, the Chairman emphasized the importance of delivering infrastructural projects that meet the needs of the local populace. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance as praced by the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo.

“The development of our communities hinges on the provision of good road networks,” Hon. Urah stated. “I am here today to ensure that the Ojikpalada, Alade-Agbeji road project progresses according to schedule and meets the expectations of our people.”

The Chief Imam of the area, youths, women leaders and other residents of the area expressed optimism about the Chairman’s proactive approach to project oversight. They expressed believe that such unannounced visits serve as a deterrent to laxity and promote accountability among contractors.

The Ojikpalada, Alade-Agbeji road project, once completed, is expected to enhance local transportation connectivity, boost economic activities, and improve the overall quality of life for residents in the area.
