Dr. Mahmoud Bala Alfa Congratulates Vice President Shettima on APC’s 2027 Vice Presidential Nomination
Political Economist and Development Expert, Dr. Mahmoud Bala Alfa, has congratulated the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, following his reaffirmation as the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Dr. Alfa described the APC’s decision as a demonstration of the confidence reposed in Vice President Shettima by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the leadership of the ruling party, and millions of party members across the country.
According to him, Senator Shettima has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership anchored on knowledge, hard work, discipline and an unwavering commitment to national service.
Dr. Alfa noted that the Vice President’s remarkable journey in public service, from the banking sector to serving as Commissioner, Governor of Borno State, Senator and now Vice President of Nigeria reflects his dedication to nation-building and good governance.
He further described Senator Shettima as a calm, thoughtful and committed statesman whose contributions have continued to strengthen the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and advance Nigeria’s development agenda.
Expressing optimism about the future of the country under the current leadership, Dr. Alfa said the Tinubu-Shettima administration remains well-positioned to provide the leadership needed to deepen reforms and deliver greater dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the Vice President good health, wisdom and strength as he continues to serve the nation and wished both President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima success as they seek a renewed mandate from Nigerians in the 2027 general election.
