ECOMOG receives plaudits from Kogi LGA Youth Council »

The National Youth Council of Nigeria in Kogi Local Government Area has commended the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello on Security in the LGA, Hon Abdulkareeem Isah (ECOMOG) over his conducts since his appointment.

The Coordinator for the Local Government, Comrade Umar Muhammed Bako Clerk gave the commendation in an interview with newsmen where he opined that the SSA has done exceedingly well since his assumption of office.

He pointed out that the security aide has been able to address most of the obvious problems confronting the area, stressing that he had not shied away from security problems and has face it head-on.

According to Comrade Clerk, there are also concerted efforts by Hon ECOMOG to blood in many youths into his cabinet, a measure that has gladdened his heart and the hearts of other youths, adding that it is a step in the right direction.

Even as he admitted that more needed to be done for the youths of the area in order for them to have a sense of belonging, he urged the youths to continue to give their unalloyed support to the council leadership so that they could do more to move the LGA forward.

He said the apex youth body in Kogi Local Government was satisfied so far with the efforts being put in place by the SSA to tackle security and other problems confronting the area, and enjoined him to do more to provide the youths with necessary skills to address the issue of unemployment, which he said contributes to insecurity.

Comrade Clerk who doubles as the State Chairman of the Coordinators Forum appealed for steadfastness by the SSA to supporting the Youth Council in Kogi LGA for it to carry out several of its programmes that would reorient the demographic against several youth related vices.
