Education: NKFI matriculates 201 students, as Rector tasks new intake on handwork, dedication

The Rector, Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology, Williams Charles Oluwatoyin has tasked students of the Institution to back up their learning with hard work and dedication noting that the institution was ready to give them the best of learning experience.

Rector Williams made this known on Thursday during the 4th matriculation ceremony for the new intakes for the 2023/2024
Academic Session, where 201 (Two Hundred and One Students) were matriculated.

This year’s event was specially graced by the Country Director, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Mr. Sungil Son who was on a special visit to the institution. The Country Director at the occasion promised KOICA’s unflinching support to the institution particularly in the training of the students to attain international expertise.

The Rector commended parents and students for keeping faith with the Nigeria-Korea friendship Institute which he pointed out had what it takes to nurture students with certain globally relevant skills that would stand them out favourably in the labour market.

While the Rector on behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Management and staff of the institution congratulated and welcomed the new students of the institution, he hammered on the institution’s zero tolerance for cultism, hooliganism and other vices asserting that students found culpable would be summarily expelled and handed over to security operatives

He further implored them to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the school and eschew all forms of evil vices as such could lead to severe punishment.

Earlier in his address, the Registrar, Mr. Anyebe Aidoko Sunday admonished the new intakes to be good ambassadors of the institution and ensure that every aspect of their academic efforts is given their core attention.

The ceremony witnessed the administering of oaths to the new students and other activities which added glamour to the ceremony.
