Eid Al Fitr: Gov Ododo urges Muslims to carry forward lessons of Ramadan »

…restates commitment to security, confirms arrest of sponsors of recent Omala crisis.

The Kogi State governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo has urged Muslims to carry forward the lessons they gleaned during the period of Ramadan fast including those of patience, empathy, love and understanding between and among the people.

The governor made this known while addressing the press immediately after joining other Muslim ummah at the Muslim praying ground in Okene.

Governor Ododo restated his government’s commitment to the security and safety of the state and the citizenry, while he also confirmed the arrest of the sponsors of the recent crisis in some parts of Omala LGA.

The governor noted that even though such event has existed over 4 decades ago, his government is doing its very best to ensure that peace was restored to the area after this very recent attack.

He added that those arrested were being quesAs investigations were ongoing and relevant information was already being supplied to security agencies with useful information

While sending his greetings he said “We give thanks to almighty Allah for guidance and support all through the season of fasting. Fasting is not only a season of abstinence from food and drinks but a time to show kindness and compassion for others”

“As we mark the end of this month of ramadan, I urge each and everyone to carry forward the lessons we learnt. Let us continue to practice kindness, generosity, love and understanding in our daily lives” he charged.

He added further that the month teaches the remembering of the less privileged amongst us and extend a hand of fellowship to those that is in dire need, hence such gesture must be sustained.

Governor Ododo appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his sincere and purposeful leadership under the renewed hope agenda further attesting that his efforts were already yielding positive results and as a government Kogi will continue to give the president’s leadership the needed support as he leads the nation out of current challenges.
