Eid-El-Fitr: Kogi COS Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Felicitates With Muslims

The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Pharm Abdulkareem Muh’d Jamiu (Asuku) has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-fitr which marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.

This was contained in a letter made available to news men in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

Eid-el-Fitr, which means “festival of the breaking of the fast” – is celebrated at the end of Ramadan in Islamic calendar.

Fasting is important for Muslims during Ramadan as it allows them to devote themselves to their faith and come closer to Allah.

The COS was quoted as saying, “I am delighted to send greetings of peace, unity and goodwill to the Muslim Ummah all over the world, especially in Kogi State, as we observe and celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.”

The Chief of Staff went on to urge Muslims to strive for forgiveness and closeness to the noble life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammed (SAW), peace be upon him.

“On this auspicious occasion, I wish you all the blessings of the sacred month of Ramadan,” Asuku said
