EID-EL-KABIR: Chief Onoja Congratulates Muslims, Harps on Love, Sacrifice, Patience, Thanksgiving
Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr) Edward Onoja warmly felicitates with the Muslim Ummah on Eid-el-Kabir and admonishes them to uphold the spirits of self-reflection, prayer, love, and thanksgiving at all times.
He urges Muslims to rededicate themselves to the tenets of Islam by also being worthy ambassadors of the patience, obedience, and sacrificial virtues exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim which form the significance of the celebration.
The Deputy Governor, in a Statement signed in Lokoja by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, sues for continued prayers for peace, prosperity, and stability of the country in the face of diverse challenges.
While noting that peace remains the precursor to development, he tasks Muslims and adherents of other faiths to always demonstrate love and understanding towards one another in the quest for a prosperous Kogi State and Nigeria.
