EId-El-Kabir: Chief Onoja Greets Muslims, Calls for Increased Prayers For Nigeria

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja has admonished the Muslim Ummah to imbibe the spirits of godliness, charity, sacrifice, and spiritual intercession for the nation at all times.

In a Goodwill message issued in Lokoja by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, Chief Onoja further urged his countrymen and women to always promote acts that enhance national integration and brotherhood.

He said Eid-el-Kabir honors the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son to show submission to Allah’s command, urging Muslims to extend the noble virtues of piety, perseverance, philanthropy, respect, and love for one another.

Chief Onoja assured Kogites of Governor Yahaya Bello’s determination to make the State a model for good governance, security of lives and property, and economic prosperity, saying the State has witnessed revolutionary changes in its critical sectors with legacy projects dotting the Kogi Landscape in the last 6 years.

The Deputy Governor called for increased prayers for an end to the recurring security challenges in the country, tasking Muslims and adherents of other faiths to always demonstrate love and understanding towards one another in the quest for a greater and more prosperous Kogi State and Nigeria.
