SHREGARF Radiovision taking broadcasting to next level – Kogi NUJ Chairman
In a brief event at Hajia K Plaza, the Station’s office, the CEO of Shregarf FM, Ahammed Shaba popularly known as Mr. Shaba, hosted the Kogi state Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh during a visit to the facility.
While showing the chairman around the facility, the Mr Shaba emphasized that Shregarf FM is the first privately-owned Online radio station in the state and that it is poised at taking the state’s events across the nation due to its wide coverage.
He noted that the philosophy behind the establishment of the station is multifaceted and that the station will educate and entertain, give the people a stronger voice, propagate the programmes and sensitise Nigerians on the policies of the government, in addition to the promotion of national unity, national ethos, as well as values reorientation.
Speaking further, Shaba challenged well-meaning Kogites to invest in the establishment of radio stations. He bemoaned how Kogi State will be surrounded by nine states, including the FCT, yet will only have two radio stations. He took advantage of the opportunity to solicit collaboration and support for Shregarf FM.
“We have fine broadcasters from all the regions of the state. We need more of these facilities so we can maximize our full potential” He said.
In his remarks, the NUJ Chairman. Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh commended Mr. Shaba’s decision to take journalism to the next level. He praised his effort and zeal, as well as his objectivity and the accuracy of the information aired from his Radio station.
Momohjimoh said the CEO of Shregarf Radiovision is an erudite On Air Personality of repute with repute, adding that the establishment of the station isn’t just to add value to broadcasting in the state, but also helping to create employment.
He promised to champion an advocacy to educate the public about the importance of investing in the information sector of the economy, as well as to collaborate with the new radio station.
Shregaf Radiovision is an Online broadcasting Radio Station operating on FM 93.7, has a 200 metres reach for residents living around Hajia K plaza, located around Zenith bank junction to the Post Office in Lokoja.
