Eid-el-Kabir: Engr. Bashir Gegu distributes food items, cows, rams, millions of naira to Muslims
As Muslims across the globe set for this year annual Eid-El-Kabir, a renowned chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and philanthropist, Engineer Abubakar Mohammed Bashir Gegu has made it more easy for his people to celebrate this year festival through provision of food items, cows, rams and cash amounting to millions of naira.
Bashir Gegu who is a Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural resources made the distribution across Kogi local area with stakeholders, youths, women and APC stalwarts as major beneficiaries of his benevolence.
Speaking during the distribution food, cows, rice, rams and cash of money, the party chieftain said all hands are not equal and emphasized the need to shares resources with the needy so as to have a better life during the festive period like every others.
According to the Kogi LG political leader, his largesse aim at putting smile on faces of his people will go a long way and calling on well-to-do individuals to use their wealth for strengthening humanity by empowering those in need. He said.
The former governorship aspirant who participated in the 2019 Kogi State Governorship APC primaries vowed to continue to the voiceless using his good office to touch life positively.
While congratulating Muslims faithful on the commemoration of Eid-El-Kabir celebration slated for tomorrow 28th June, 2023, the Gegu-born political leader assured the people of Kogi LG of Governor Yahaya Bello’s continued support even as he said Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is the anointed candidate of the Governor and should be supported by all.
The Commissioner specifically thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for his excellent leadership style at ensuring equal distribution of wealth geared towards developing the the State.
He described the Governor as a man of his word and rare political leader whose leadership style remained unequalled compared to previous administrators.
Mr. Gegu recall how the Governor came to the aid of Kogi LG people where lives and properties were secured as against the then kidnapping, banditry and criminal activities that almost consumed his people.
Similarly, some beneficiaries have appreciated the political leader for his kindness towards them and assured of continued support and loyalty.
Among the items shared were bags of rice, Rams, Cows and cash worth millions of naira across Kogi LGA of the State.
