EID-EL-KABIR: ONOJA CONGRATULATES MUSLIMS, HARPS ON INCREASED PRAYERS FOR KOGI, NIGERIA

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja, CIK felicitates with his boss and Siamese twin, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and the entire Muslim Ummah, on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

His felicitations are contained in a Statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, where he says the Islamic Festival of Sacrifice is a call to Muslims to solemnly reflect on the ideals which the founders of Islam contributed towards the development of our respective communities.

He urges the Muslim Ummah to rededicate commitments to love, peace, unity, self-reflection, charity, and togetherness which according to him, form the core sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW).

Chief Onoja sues for continued prayers for peace, prosperity, and stability of the country, considering the challenges of insecurity it currently faces, and admonishes Leaders across board to, like the Yahaya Bello Model, be most dutiful to the security of lives and properties of their citizens.

Whilst noting that peace remains a precursor to national development, he implores Muslims to foster their prayers for economic transformation, and peaceful co-existence amongst people of different tribes, faith, and class in the society, during, and after the Sallah Celebrations.
