Ejura Onoja congratulates Gov Bello on tribunal verdict »

Wife of Kogi State Deputy Governor, Mrs Ejura Mercy Onoja has congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello on his victory at the tribunal election petitions ruling that validated his election as governor of the state.

Mrs Onoja in a statement in Abuja said the verdict of the tribunal is an affirmation of the people’s will as expressed through their votes in the November 16, 2019 governorship election in the state.

“I want to congratulate Governor Bello on his victory at the Tribunal. This victory is for the good people of Kogi state, they are the real winners in the contest and I have no doubt in Governor Bello’s ability to take Kogi State to the next level of development.”

According to her, the spontenous jubilation that greeted the verdict across state affirms the fact that justice was delivered in line with the will and aspirations of the people.

“Indeed, Governor Bello’s resounding victory at the election is clear indication of the overwhelming acceptance of his leadership style as demonstrated in his commitment to the welfare and development of his state despite daunting economic challenges,” she added.

“His election I will say, marks the consolidation of good governance and contribution towards the uplift of the living standard of the people in all sectors of life, let’s support and keep praying for his leadership and cabinet members.”

She urged the opposition party to accept the judgment in good faith and support the governor in the task of rebuilding state, rather than distract the government with litigations.
