Ejura Onoja gives out Christmas gifts
The Wife of Kogi State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Ejura Mercy Onoja, on Tuesday distributed food items to the people of her community at Egume in Dekina Local Government Area, as well as wrappers to some other women groups in the state.
The gesture is part of her humanitarian activities in commemoration of the Christmas season of showing love and bringing succour to the needy and vulnerable in the society.
The food items were presented on her behalf by the elder brother, Hon. Victor Okee who was the immediate past Special Adviser to the Governor on Internally Generated Revenue.
Some of the women who received the items, said it meant a lot to them, and expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor’s Wife for her kindness and support shown always to the less privileged especially during this season of celebration.
Similarly, women groups in her husband’s country home, Ogugu in Olamaboro Local Government Area were not left out, as they also received food items among other gifts.
The women groups who received the wrapper gifts in Lokoja Local Government Area included: GYB Women Ambassadors, GYB Women of Worth, GYB Women of Substance, GYB Women of Integrity, leaders and Zarrah Group.
In their separate remarks, the leaders of GYB Women Ambassadors, Mrs Temitope Grace and GYB Women of Worth, Mrs Fatima Alldey prayed God to reward Mrs Onoja for remembering them in the spirit of the celebration.
