Ejura Onoja grieves with Governor Bello on mother’s death »

Wife of Kogi State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs Ejura Mercy Onoja extends heartfelt condolences to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on the death of his mother, Hajiya Hawawu Oziohu Bello.

Mrs Onoja who paid glowing tributes in a condolence message to Governor Bello today (Monday, March 16, 2020) in Okene as the deceased is being laid to rest at her residence in Nagazi, described late Hajiya Hawawu Bello’s passage as “a great loss not only to the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District, but to the state in general, given her invaluable contributions to the cause of humanity.”

She said, “Mama was a devout Muslim and a good mother, who loved her son from the affection we saw her displaced towards him, whose lifetime was devoted to prayers and rendering help to humanity” and urged Governor Bello’s family to take solace in the fact that the late matriarch lived to witness the enormous successes achieved by her son, culminating in the emergence of Governor Bello as a two (2) term Governor of Kogi State.

“I equally commiserate with my boss, Wife of the Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs Rashida Bello who has been a pillar of support to me, on the painful loss of her beloved mother in-law. My prayers and thoughts are with her, the entire family of our amiable Governor, friends and well-wishers as we all mourn ” she added.

Wife of the Deputy Governor however, called on the bereaved family to uphold the cherished ideals of community service, kindness and generosity associated with the matriarch and prayed Almighty Allah to repose her soul .

Late Hajiya Hawawu Oziohu Bello who lived to a ripe age of 101, passed on yesterday in a brief illness at a hospital in Abuja.
