Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has urged the people of Olamaboro Local Government Area to emulate the peaceful and brilliant dispositions of his Chief of Staff, Hon Edward Onoja in all their conducts.

He gave the admonition today in Okpo in an address at the reception organised by the area’s traditional council to celebrate the inauguration and presentation of staff of office to Ejeh Olamaboro, HRH Sir Ujah Sani Simeon.

The Governor who was represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Folashade Arike said the reason he was proud to refer to his Chief of Staff as his Siamese twins was because he had shown tremendous grit and commitment to the development of the state.

He said whatever wrong notion that anyone had about the Igala people would be quelled by Onoja who has been nothing short of brilliant, dedicated, sincere and firm in all that he had put his mind into, traits that he noted had endeared him to whoever crossed paths with Onoja.

While calling on the new Ejeh to use his office to unite the people of the area, the Governor equally enjoined Chief Ujah to ensure security of lives and property, galvanise his people towards peaceful coexistence in Igalaland and Kogi State in general.

Speaking, the chairman of planning committee for the reception, Hon Gabriel Olofu praised the decision of government to give the new Ejeh the recognition he deserved, saying Chief Ujah was a man of competent jurisdiction to handle his office.

Hon Olofu used the opportunity to congratulate the Governor on his victory in the recently held Kogi APC Governorship primary, stressing that the victory of the party in this year’s general elections in Kogi State was testament to his capacity.

“Your Excellency Sir, continue to prove critics wrong in every engagement. As if the above was not enough, you have done us more proud with the positive things that are coming to Olamaboro with the productive and positive partnership between you and our son, Hon Edward Onoja.

“I wish to congratulate his Royal highness, Sir Simeon Ujah for the well deserved appointment and to commend him for starting on a very good note, linking and using his contacts to transform our traditional council and the Local Government at large. It is indeed a new direction. As I encourage you to keep Olamaboro cultural heritage, I wish you a long live and successful reign,” he concluded.
