Opening up of the toad, he stressed, would attract development to the communities and open up other towns to modern infrastructure and curb kidnapping and banditry that were hitherto prevalent in the area.
He said rural dwellers plying the road would now go about their legitimate businesses without fear, as farmers would also be encouraged to go about their farming activities to boost food production in Kogi State and the LGA in particular.
Aside food security, the Commissioner stated that the project would give security agencies access to apprehending criminals that use the communities as safe havens for their nefarious activities and enhance swift action for the security agencies in going after the hoodlums anytime they commit crimes.
“The opening has also exposed the hideout of the criminals and they have been crushed in the past by joint operations of Military, Police and CJTF. This has really shown how lovely Governor Yahaya Bello is to the people of Kogi Local Government Area.”
While calling the citizen of the LGA to be law abiding and be vigilant to compliment government efforts, he said it was through such reciprocity that the administration would be convinced to do more for the people.
