Engr Bashir Gegu congratulates Engr Lawal, new MD Kogi SMPC Ltd
The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Muhammed Gegu has congratulated the newly appointed Managing Director, Kogi State solid Minerals and Processing Company Limited, Engr. Muhammed Lawal.
In a press statement he made available to newsmen in Lokoja, the Commissioner expressed delight, saying that Governor Bello has once again put a square peg in a square hole.
According to the Commissioner, the Kogi Solid Minerals Processing Company, which is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for Kogi state Government to help in solid minerals title acquisition would gain a lot with Engr Lawal at its helm of affairs.
He said Engr Lawal has also proven to be worthy of the appointment through his antecedents, adding that the sector was yearning for such an experienced individual to help government achieve its agenda in the sector.
As the Supervisor to the SPV, Engr Bashir implored the new Managing Director to replicate his capacity so that the sector would become the cornerstone of Kogi’s economy.
The Commissioner thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for his love and determination to ensure the objective he set were achieved, and promised to synergize with the new appointee to make the sector function properly.
Engr Bashir, who further described the staff of his ministry and the MDAs under it as hard working and dedicated, said they would work together for the betterment of the state.
