Engr Bashir Gegu congratulates newly elected Chairman in Kogi LGA, Hon Ecomog; thanks Gov Bello for appointing impartial SIEC
The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu has congratulated the newly elected Chairman for Kogi Local Government Area, Hon Abdulkareem Isa Ecomog and eleven Ward Councillors.
He said election of the Chairman in a free, fair, credible and transparent polls was indicative that the Govenror cherished democracy and its objectives so much, stating that the people of the area deserved commendation.
The commissioner said Hon Ecomog espoused the ideals of the new direction government, which means he would bring more energy and capacity to translate the vision of the Governor at the Local Government level.
According to the Commissioner who praised the people of the LGA for the peaceful manner in which they conducted themselves during the polls, it is going to be a new dawn of development and improved socioeconomic growth.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for his commitment towards spreading dividends of democracy to all parts of the State, saying that the election was another pointer that rural areas in the state would experience a breath of fresh air.
Engr Bashir Gegu who assured the people of the area that the incoming administration in Kogi LGA would make youth and women empowerment a huge priority, expressed confidence in the ability of the newly elected councillors to assist the Chairman in delivering democratic dividends.
He assured the Governor that Kogi LGA people would continue to give their maximum support to his government at all time to reciprocate his continued show of love and compassion to them.
