Former Governor of Kogi State under the People’s Democratic Party, Captain Idris Wada lost his polling unit and ward in Odu 1 to the ruling All Progressives Congress at the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives elections of Saturday, 25th February.

The brother and governorship hopeful under the same party, Engineer Musa Wada also suffered wide margin defeat despite promising to deliver their respective political strong hold as staunch party members. Captain Idris Wada could not also be identified or accredited by the BIVAS stationed at his polling unit.

Reports gathered that the Ruling All Progressives Congress clinched Victory at the former governor’s polling unit and the ward polling 1121 to 448 votes at the presidential election, 1234 to 366 votes at the senatorial elections and 1131 to 437 at the House of Representatives elections.

According to reports reaching InsideStory, the All Progressives Congress was coasting to victory in several parts of Kogi East and the entire state while as at the time of this reports candidates of the party have been announced as winners by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
