Fuel Subsidy Removal: KGSG to commence distribution of FG palliative to citizens

The Kogi State government has announced that it would commence the distribution of the Federal Government palliative on Thursday as part of plans initiated by the government to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.

This was detailed in a Press statement signed on Wednesday by the State’s commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo where he also hinted that the exercise will take place at the ultra modern Mohammadu Buhari Square by 10am.

The commissioner noted that the palliatives are for all Kogi citizens, irrespective of political, ethnic or religious affiliations in line with the intent of the Federal Government and the policy direction of the Kogi State Government under the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello who is Governor of all.

He said “We wish to profoundly appreciate the Federal Government under the leadership of our dear President, HE Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who deemed it fit to ameliorate the temporary hardship occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy. The State Government has also added its own share to achieve the humanitarian aim of Mr President”.

Mr. Fanwo urged leaders across the board to ensure that all the citizens of the state are carried along in the distribution of the palliatives which he emphasize was sacrosanct.
