FUL VC, Prof. Akinwumi commissions New Fire Service truck, other Vehicles »

On Monday, 21st February, 2022, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi commissioned two (2) 18-seater buses and a fire service truck for ease of transportation and fire safety in Federal University Lokoja (FUL).

The two (2) buses were donated to the University by Dr. Innocent Ozoemena Ezuma, the Lord Mayor of the Ancient Kingdom of Arondiziogu, who was among the prominent Nigerians awarded Honorary Degrees (Honoris Causa) during the 5th Convocation Ceremony of the University held in December, 2021.

The commissioning ceremony, which took place at the Felele Campus and was attended by Principal Officers, Members of Management, religious leaders, and other members of the University Community was described as a good omen and a sign of greater things to come to FUL being the first of its kind in the history of the eleven-year-old University.

Interestingly, this milestone is not only a blessing to FUL, but also significant to Professor Akinwumi-led Administration, most especially coming at a time the Vice-Chancellor has just kick-started his second year in office having marked exactly one-year-in-office on the 14th of February, 2022.

Members of the University Management, Staff and Students who were highly elated at the unprecedented goodwill extended to the Institution, particularly thanked the donor Dr. Innocent Ezuma for the kind gesture and remarkable contribution to the development of the University.
